The Kokoda Memorial Foundation has received donations from many people and organisations predominantly from RSL sub branches throughout Australia. Manufacturers and suppliers in both
P.N.G and Australia have contributed the majority of materials and equipment. The directors
and privates individuals have made significant personal funds available to ensure the projects are completed and the
organization continues to exist. To date pricing of work completed by the Foundation exceeds $350,000.00. A team of enthusiastic volunteers, some of whom are Vietnam Veterans, ex army and in some cases serving members, with drive, compassion and dedication, have been banded together to carry out the projects to date and are looking forward to the next project.
The RAAF has generously supported the Foundation with transportation when
available to Papua New Guinea by C130 Hercules aircraft to transport equipment and personnel. Without this assistance the Foundation would have been unable to achieve what has been completed to date.
Strong support and co-operation has been received from the local villages and
P.N.G. government funded authorities, such as the Koiari Holdings Ltd.
